Bringing Humanity and Wellness Back to the Workplace in a Changing World
Editor's note: This article is part of our ongoing series about how to support wellness at work during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Coronavirus pandemic has changed everything in our work lives and workdays. Its impact on global wellness and the way we conduct business is causing too many rain clouds, but there are also many silver linings. More than ever, we are coming together to bring humanity back to the workplace and create environments – both physical and virtual – where talent can thrive and feel inspired to perform at the highest and most creative level.
Think of this series as a new toolbox for getting through this challenging time and supporting your co-workers and family now and into the future. You’ll find stories that will support all aspects of what we call Wellness 2.0, which is about companies going beyond just physical comfort and considering the health of the whole person, including both their mental and spiritual health. The stories will focus on every angle of Wellness 2.0, backed up with science, from movement and physical activity to nutrition to reducing stress to improving energy and productivity.
Our objective is to share thought-provoking ideas and perspectives - and even challenge assumptions. We know there is no one solution that’s right for everyone, so the series will showcase a multitude of experts from a variety of approaches, and provide solutions and tips to help you thrive. We hope these ideas inspire you to imagine how you can play a role in making the world a healthier place.
